Recently opened Egglicious India on Stevens Creek in San Jose is a great addition to the growing list of vegetarian restaurants in the Bay Area. Keeping true to its name, the restaurant also offers a long list of Indian egg delicacies for the eggetarian amongst us, along with an array of Indo Chinese and chaat dishes. Service was fast and extremely friendly. A huge plus point was the clean bathroom during a busy lunch time. Although any kind of ambiance was missing, the food easily made u for it, as everything tasted fresh and was not oily or overly spicy. For all these reasons, I rate this place 4 out of 5 SolaraStars.
Here’s what we ordered:
☕️Kulhad chai - loved how it was thick, milky and sweet, exactly the way I like it.
🧉Salt lassi - perfect blend of salt and spices.
👌🏼Kurkuri Palak - we were surprised that spinach leaves can be done so crispy. Loved its tangy taste, topped with dahi.
🍜Indo Chinese Sizzler - came with chinese fried rice, chinese bhel and vegetable manchurian. The latter was a bit salty for our tastebuds.
💯Poori Bhaji - Pooris were fluffy, soft and crisp at the same time, and bhaji was finger lickin’ delicious.
👍Misal Pav - The portion was large, and misal was not oily or overly spicy, and just perfect, with all the fixins.
👏🏼Overall, a great brunch/lunch spot. A must-go, whether you are an egg-lover or not!
