Chennai Tiffins, Newark



Chennai Tiffins is a brand new South Indian restaurant near New Park Mall in Newark. My girlfriends and I decided to check it out during their soft opening. They were offering unlimited dosas on the day we went, so we were very excited.


They had various types of dosas like mysore masala dosa, karam dosa, chocolate dosa and cheese dosa.



None of the dosas we ate really stood out but overall the Ghee Mysore Masala dosa was the best. Being the first week, the employees were overwhelmed by the number of customers, because of which service was very slow and confusing.


There’s not much to say about the ambiance as it was non -existant. This restaurant has a potential for improvement and I may try it again in a few weeks after they are well established. For all of these reasons I give Chennai Tiffins in Newark 3 SolaraStars out of 5.
